Exact Guitou!!!

Benetton signs Mario Austin
Benetton Treviso pulled off a major coup as it prepares for its debut ULEB Cup seasons by signing big man Mario Austin, one of the competition's best players the last two years. Austin (206, 25), who played both of his ULEB Cup seasons so far with Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem, was the 2005-06 ULEB Cup Regular season MVP and inked a two-year deal with Benetton. He has the best average index rating (22.6) for any player with at least 25 ULEB Cup appearances, ranks fifth alltime in in rebounds (265) and ninth in points (547). Austin averaged 19.2 points and 8.1 rebounds in 14 ULEB Cup games last season as Jerusalem reached the competition's quarterfinals and 17.4 points and 9.4 rebounds in 16 games the year before as the club advanced to the semifinals. Joining Benetton marks Austin's second stint in Italy as he spent the 2004-05 season with Pallacanestro Biella. His career was launched during three seasons at Mississippi State University, at the end of which he was named to the 2002-03 All-SEC First Team. His lone title in Europe to date was winning the Israeli Cup last season with Jerusalem.

Benetton signs Pops Mensah-Bonsu
Benetton Treviso made another big signing in the paint over the weekend, announcing the addition of center Pops Mensah-Bonsu. The move comes just days after former ULEB Cup regular season MVP Mario Austin's move was finalized. Together the two could make up the most intimidating frontline in the ULEB Cup this season. Mensah-Bonsu (207, 23) arrives from the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, where he appeared in 12 games last season. He also spent time with the Mavs' NBDL affiliate, the Fort Worth Flyers, with whom he was named as the NBDL All-Star Game MVP after scoring 30 points in the contest. He averaged 15.8 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in 26 appearances with the Flyers. The London-born big man first made a name for himself with a standout college basketball career at George Washington University.

Olympiacos gets bigger with Tsakalidis
Olympiacos made one of the summer's surprise moves by signing center Jake Tsakalidis for one season. Tsakalidis (218, 28), who is the twelfth signing Olympiacos has made this summer, joins an already packed frontcourt that features Sofoklis Schortsianitis, Lawrence Roberts, Giannis Bouroussis, Loukas Mavrokefalidis, Ian Vouyoukas and Giorgos Printezis. Tsakalidis returns to Greece after spending seven years in the NBA playing for the Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets, with a career average of 4.8 points and 3.9 rebounds in 15.9 minutes per game. Last season he posted 2.3 points and 2.9 rebounds in 36 games between Memphis and Houston. The move to Olympiacos sees him reunite with Roberts, who spent a season-and-a-half time alongside him at Memphis.
The Georgian-born Tsakalidis began his sports career as a swimmer and was of Olympic caliber until he switched over to basketball when he moved to Greece to join AEK Athens at the age of 16. Tsakalidis played four seasons for AEK, helping the team win the Saporta Cup and Greek Cup, both in 2000, while becoming a regular on the Greek National team from 1998 till 2003, taking part twice in the European Championships. In his last season with AEK, Tsakalidis averaged 10.1 points and 6.1 rebounds in 30 games.

Même la place dans les 12 va être difficile à obtenir.NIKKO a écrit : Olympiacos made one of the summer's surprise moves by signing center Jake Tsakalidis for one season.

Joventut gets Hernandez-Sonseca
DKV Joventut Badalona will have a ULEB Cup winner in the squad as it returns to the competition after the club signed center Edu Hernandez-Sonseca to a one-year deal on Tuesday. Hernandez-Sonseca (212, 23) arrives from his boyhood club, Real Madrid, which he helped to win the ULEB Cup and the Spanish League last season. He spent his entire career to date with Madrid – minus the 2004-05 season, in which he was on loan to Gran Canaria. A member of the extended Spanish national squad, Hernandez-Sonseca had his best European season in the 2002-03 Euroleague, when he averaged 7.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and led the league with 1.5 blocks per game, despite playing fewer than 20 minutes a night. His signing comes on the heels of the team releasing two other big men, Lonny Baxter and Marty Andriuskevicius, over the weekend.
